Amenities to look for in Service Apartment

When selecting a serviced apartment, there are numerous factors to consider. And we’ve done our fair share of apartment hunting. We’ve developed a list of the top things to avoid when looking for your next apartment, whether you’re looking for a short-term or long-term stay.

Appliances

Some appliances are absolutely necessary, such as an oven and stove. You won’t be able to cook much in your apartment if you don’t have these. You may consider yourself the order-out-every-night type, but you’ll eventually want to savour a home-cooked supper (while saving yourself money along the way). Dishwashers are tremendously convenient, but if you like to wash your dishes as soon as you finish them, you can do without them.

Renters share in-unit laundry machines or hookups. Some people would not contemplate renting an apartment without them, while others believe they are absolutely necessary. When making your own decision, look at the surrounding environment. Is there a laundromat nearby or perhaps inside your building?

Air or Heat conditioning

Unless you’re looking for an apartment in a city with a moderate climate, where in-unit air conditioning is uncommon or where heat isn’t generally required, you should insist on heat and air conditioning wherever possible. Fans are ineffective when it is extremely hot outside. What about when it’s cold? You want something more reliable than blankets and hot tea or coffee.

Excellent Internet Connection

Some communities include or charge for internet access as part of the rent. This is acceptable (provided the connection is reliable), but it should not be your deciding factor. You’ll be alright as long as a well-known internet service provider provides dependable service in your area. Just make sure to ask other tenants whose providers they use and whether they are satisfied with the service.

Space

When it comes to finding the ideal apartment, space is a critical deciding factor. You should find an apartment that isn’t too small for your needs. Travelers with families typically require a larger living space with an attached kitchen. Those on business vacations who want to work remotely should search for units with larger study rooms that can be converted into an office space or used for meetings.

Security

The safety of a home is one of its most crucial aspects. And, while renters’ insurance is recommended, you should not have to worry about your flat being broken into or your personal goods being taken. To keep residents secure, apartments with good security will feature gated access, video surveillance, and third-party security patrols.

Maintenance

A decent apartment community will have consistent maintenance on hand to handle any repairs or emergency situations. Rental properties that go above and above for tenants will also have a maintenance staff or hired contractors who maintain common areas such as pools and courtyards and ensure that green spaces, sidewalks, and roadways are kept in good condition throughout the year.

Business travellers and professionals are increasingly interested in serviced apartments. They look to be great for individuals who intend to stay for an extended amount of time in order to save money on food and laundry.
